- Friday inspiration - Great lecture last night on Julia Morgan‘s life and architectural work by the author of that great book. Julia M was another smart and brilliant woman, a pioneer of American Architecture in the late 19th to mid 20th century with a humongous body of work mostly in California. I had the chance last year to visit the Asylomar Conference Grounds she designed and built in Monterey- one of my favorite buildings of hers. #ldwandcoinspirationforlife #anothergrandedame✨
- Thursday inspiration.´Study model in real scale’. Casa Albero in Fregene, Italia. Giuseppe Perugini, his wife Uga de Plaisant and son Raynaldo designed together this experimental family home gem in the 60’s/70’s. #ldwandcoinspiration #familyaffairproject #italianmodernismarchitecture #casaexperimentale
- A hard case that we defended and won few years ago at public hearing LA City hall for this project in a historical district. People on the board didn’t believe the first image/drawing showing that this second floor addition would not/barely be visible from the street. Picture 2 is from front and 2nd floor addition is pretty much done:) picture 3 is what you see from the side. Pretty much no impact:) #ldwandco&coproject #funwithwork #justtrustus:) #happyclients #ldwandco
- I had the chance to start my work experience with producing drawings for Kenzo’s Paris residence in the 90’s. His Japanese garden with every rocks imported from Japan and his attention to details throughout the house were an inspiration for life. #RIPKenzotakada #firstarchitecturrallearnignexperience #ldwandcoinspirationforlife
